Ok, since when should a 12-year-old kid take being grounded by their parents to court and win?
From the way the story goes, the dad said she could go on a school trip if she was good all year. She wasn't. Among other things, she posted pictures of herself on a dating site. So he said she couldn't go. So she stormed off to her mom's and took dear old dad to court, how she could afford this I don't know. But for some reason, the judge said his punishment was excessive, and since she was staying with her mom, he had no power. What the hell? He's appealing it. I hope he wins. Otherwise, I see bad things on the horizon.
