A man at a Hobart Lane home who was trying to scratch his nose with the barrel end of a BB gun accidentally shot himself in the face Monday night. Police responded to the residence at 8:52 p.m. after the man, sitting on a bed and watching a movie, discharged a pellet up his right nostril. He was taken by Amherst Fire Department ambulance to Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton for what police described as a non-life-threatening injury.
Come on. There are safer ways to scratch your nose, dude.
